Acacia Country Club sale approved by shareholders | News
Acacia Country Club shareholders approved a $14.75 sale to an organization planning to keep the 160-acre site as green space.
The nonprofit Conservation Fund purchased the property and intends to use it as a park or public golf course.
The Cedar Road site had been sought by developers who wanted to build offices or a shopping center. Lyndhurst Mayor Joe Cicero had expressed concern about losing potential taxes from an attractive site for development.
The deal is expected to close in December.
